Liturgy planners work with the homilist to develop the Call to Worship, Penitential Rite (when applicable) and the Petitions. Liturgy planners function within a team for special seasons in which a central theme has been chosen, such as Advent, Lent, Easter, and the Summer Series. The Liturgy Committee provides formal training for liturgy planners on a regular basis, but individual training can also be provided through mentoring to those who feel called to minister as planners.
