Jesus came and “stood in their midst.” They thought he was a ghost. “Touch me and see. A ghost does not have flesh and bones as you can see that I have.” What are we afraid of? Not that Jesus is a ghost. Not that he is not really alive. But perhaps our fear stems from our disbelief. Help us, Lord Jesus, believe in you.
